Not sure what to expect, but just happy to have the footy back.

Word of warning. As good as it is to have some footy back, remember round one and how dull it all was with no one in the stands. Despite some manufactured crowd noise through the TV this time ‘round, this is still football COVID-19 style. Despite all that, Go Pies!

If beating the Dogs by 52 points is dull, maybe you're setting your expectations a little high.

Did I miss something here?
Are we naming injured players as emergencies again?
Are our playing stocks that thin?

They claim he's no longer injured but lacking match fitness.

Interesting; I'd suggest every player in the league is suffering from the same lack of conditioning then...?
Is that to imply by the club that he bludged during the lay-off, and didn't regiment his own training sufficiently?

I didn't find Round One dull RH. Far from it!! Watching the Pies play well is always exciting I reckon
I'm finding it a little perplexing, that given we're missing the speed of Treloar, that Stevo didn't get selected. Josh Thomas is a bit fortunate I think (but good on him anyway). On paper, it looks like a pretty decent team. Fervently hoping it translates that way on field.

Well, he couldn't train with the bone bruising.
Just as Stephenson couldn't train in the summer with the glandular fever.

Na, not at all piedys. The word from the club is that he returned in great condition, but hasn't got in a sufficient block of training in recent weeks, due to knee soreness.

Good that we both came to the defence of Mason, K.
Yep, I grant that Stephenson may still not have quite the full fitness that's required because of pre-season illness.

Pity the Tigers nemisis Cox is out, he terrifies Richmond, they cant handle him, and Treloar will be missed too, and Langdon, so its far from our best team, to field, against the Punt rd ferals, However, we do match up well on them, and the game will depend, as will other games, on the layoff after the virus lockdown, and which side comes up fitter, handled it better. I think we can win by around 14 points. Its going to be mighty weird though, no fans and no big crowd, just seagulls, but such is life.
