That’s only a bit over 201,000 new cases fewer than they had in the last 24 hours in the US. |

I heard on the radio the reason Pizza boy lied about working at the shop has someting to do with his Visa. His Visa expires in a month and I heard the word illegal but missed whether that was his status or his work rights.
If correct, considering the SA government inloking to see if they can charge him with anything, I'm guessing he'll be put on the first flight home once his Visa expires. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

From today's ABC blog:
Quote: | Face masks will no longer be required outside in Victoria from midnight tonight, as long as physical distancing can be maintained.
The requirement to wear masks inside and on public transport remains.
Up to 15 visitors can gather in homes in Victoria from tomorrow, as the state’s coronavirus restrictions ease.
Outdoor gatherings will increase to 50 people.
The Premier, Daniel Andrews, has also announced up to 30 people can gather in homes from mid-December, in time for Christmas and Hannukkah.
The state recorded no new cases today, for the 23rd straight day. |

I think you may have missed one.

(I had the great displeasure of watching this film with Ingmar the other night, and having to hear this travesty accompany a Sad CGI Ogre Sequence was unquestionably the worst/funniest bit.) _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

I actually did quite like it (and the sequel) back when it came out, but honestly found it excruciating this time around (all the lame jokes and pop culture references + that soundtrack). Perhaps I’ve just become a grumpy old man. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

It is a good article, also good to see someone making a common sense decision rather than being driven by fear.
In America the risk is obviously greater, but it's a great example why so much of the fear mongering in Victoria was over the top, the risk was always extremely low and sensible decisions can be made.
It's like how you can have a sore throat or a cough but doing the maths shows the likelihood of it being Covid is nil. |
