Thanks for your thoughts Dave.
Practice matches are a tough read. Winning is usually the last thing on a coaches mind ( unless you don’t win very often )
We have had a lot of player turnover, so it’s as much about establishing which of the kids could hold their own in the seniors in round one and who isn’t quite ready.
When you add into the mix that our first three draft picks didn’t play last year, it’s going to take some time for those draftees to blow the cobwebs out. |

I take these hit outs with a grain of salt really
Both clubs are trying stuff they’ve been working on in the ore season
Elliott was good
Pendles was good
Grundy was good
Howe looked good
IQ looked good
Daicos looked good
Sidey was poor his kicking looks to have gone backwards even further than last year which was very poor
Moore looked rusty looks like he needed a run badly
C Brown looks not at afl standard still just fumbles way to much to often
Early days still hope we get more out of next matches to see how the younger players fit in to the best 22/30 players battling for a game each week |

Where are all the people retracting their comments about about non-members not being able to watch the game? |
Probably thinking what an advantage it would be to be able to see into the future, but alas, that's not an ability any human I know is blessed with.
You see, the club made no mention that there would be a replay available the day after the game, or were you unaware of that? Members who were unable to watch the live stream might have appreciated that information beforehand too.
They may have thought they were being clever in making that omission, hoping that hordes of supporters desperate to watch a practice game live would rush to purchase memberships for that one benefit alone.
Or they may have reacted to complaints plastered all over social media, many from members, reacting negatively to locking out their fans from access to watching their players play.
Who knows, but there will be no retraction of comments from me. |

I was unable to watch the live stream as I was working, but somehow I managed to bite my tongue for 24 hours to see what happened
Clearly telling people in advance they can watch a replay the next morning wouldn't encourage anyone to buy a membership _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

Play the kids this year. No chance for the flag. |
YEP, KIDS, KIDS, KIDS, KIDS, and more kids, lets regenerate this team with fresh new blood. Fully agree, short term pain, long term gain. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

^ I'll enjoy seeing the kids too but I think we're yet to see Seirs best. The next two years will be important. I'm surprised we didn't retain Wills with the last list spot. He was a good back up. _________________ We shall set our course by the stars and not ships that pass in the night |

Considering how many players we delisted after 2020, Wills absolutely should have been retained.
Regardless, this was a much better effort than the 2020SF; 1 goal to 3/4-time... Christ... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

It looks like we are much better with Cox in the forward line - he seems to add some structure and is a clear target.
Disappointing that our mids don't lower their eyes enough into the forward line. Hopefully this can be addressed in coming weeks. _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |

Murphy worries me. Really needs to be breaking into the seniors this year. Had 3 seasons now. Although last year was a bit of a bust. Also injury interrupted progress. But didn't show much in the praccy IMO. |

Murphy has had serious injuries and then no footy. He played 13 VFL and 2 AFL games in 2018, 3 VFL games in 2019 and, of course, none last year. On the little I did see him of him in the VFL, he looked like a very talented prospect. He's only just turned 21 (15 December), so it isn't like he's over the hill. Think of him as a returning second-year player. |

Hope your right.
I also hope he’s a quick learner because he’s had so much time on the sidelines. team rules and game knowledge is what keeps players with potential on the list and with the speed of the game I hope can quickly adjust. _________________ no second chances |
