F@$k me. They show Keane’s “trip” on Kennedy but brush over Kelly’s high hit on De Goey. W⚓️S. _________________ A strong man stands up for himself ... a stronger man stands up for others. |

Yeah agree. Mayne was just OK overall. We need to get a young player in instead. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Kelly chose to bump- contacted De Goey high- our player out for the rest of the match- surely a match review suspension is imminent.
There were flashes of form consistent with a side who is 1-4 and 14th on the table.
McCreery and McRae are looking promising- I love that McCreery backs himself in to kick goals...
Out Howe (injured). In Kelly
Out Cameron (omitted). In Cox
Out Thomas- (omitted). In Ruscoe
Out Mayne (Omitted). In Tyler Brown
Out Greenwood (omitted). In Sier
Mayne was totally ineffectual and showed a lack of awareness
Thomas has simply run out of time
Continue to play Keane at CHB and Moore at full forward
When in doubt- play the younger option ahead of Mayne/Greenwood
VFL match form will be extremely interesting _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

You are not part of the future.
Gee and Cameron was a real upgrade on Cox....NOT!!!!!
Midfield thrashed again.
Grundy pretty poor in the second half.
Slow slow slow........ ball movement again and again and again!!!!!!!
FFS Bux fu...k off |
Agree with the bucks talk. I want him gone.
Only thing was that the ball movement was actually good and positive when we had nothing to lose. Maybe Wet Toast took the foot off the accelerator or maybe we put played them but the only way bucks keeps his job for mine is to play that positive brand of footy. Not this sour and dour bs one! |
Granted we lost 2 good players during the game, but it is the same old Buckley coaching. Never going to win from 10 in to the 2nd and in the end the coach was able to lock the game down in the last quarter to save his own arse for now, build his book of excuses in his funeral style post match presser, and we move on to the next lock down event. How many more years of this? The 2 new guys both may be ok, which is great, but its time to play a game style that lends itself to the future, and if that means we need to get smacked every now and again then so be it. |

I think DeGoey might get off with a sanction with an early plea _________________ The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men... |

Thomas and Brown both stood up and did well tonight – worth mentioning as everyone jumps on to point out when they’re ineffective. Otherwise, really demoralising game, and we just looked all at sea for much of the middle section of the match. Putting Moore up forward was a shockingly bad decision and it’s even more bewildering that he wasn’t moved back when it was clear it wasn’t working. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Moore forward is the answer.
Was “Moore” effective than Cox would have been and is actually a long term solution.
The Eagles are extremely fortunate to have OS. The umpires, although not terrible, virtually never miss a WCE free kick. Very very lucky advantage to have.
I think our systems are ok but it’s a few players who are letting it down.
Mayne and C Browns area of influence is very small and a very big issue that can only be rectified by replacing them with more effective players.
But ultimately, our killer is the stupid idea of zone defence. It’s our Achilles heel structurally and it allows the opposition to have easy F50 entries.
This probably explains why we struggle to put teams away with big margins.
Anyhow, it’s not all doom and gloom for the club with some good young players showing that they will be pretty good.
But it’s is curtains for Bucks. _________________ - Side By Side - |

Oh, and shout out to McCreery, who is a real presence up forward (both in terms of his disposal and defensive pressure). Thought Macrae struggled a bit, to be honest, and rough game for Keane (though he did a couple of good things). _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Some of the answers seem obvious:
There is a new rule for standing on the mark. It means you can play on very easily and gain 5-10 metres every time, but we still don't. Mayne never plays on.
We tried something new positionally. New means we could get better. Old means we will not be good enough.
McCrae and McCreery are an upgrade on the bottom 5 who keep getting games. Lets see another newbie next week and put Tyler Brown back in.
Our zone defence is a fail again. We stand too far off and can't force any turnovers. We let the other team possess the ball till they go into their forward 50.
Our midfield is now poor. We recruited a new midfield: Rantall, Bianco, McCrae and McInnes. We have to get games into these guys in the next few weeks.
We are slow and small. We need speed and power. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

I agree with trying Moore forward, as long as you are ready to switch Moore and Keane if our defence starts to shatter. (Depends on Bux actuially staying awake during the game).
Agree, Cox back in (unless there is a ground breaking performance in the VFL to challenge that).
Agree with omitting Greenwood, Mayne, JT.
Murphy in for Mayne.
I would also omit Callum Brown. Just not good enough tonight.
Tyler Brown in instead. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

It wasn't Darcy's fault that he kicked just the 3 goals. He made some great, clear leads that were just not picked out by the forward entry kicker.
That aside, I agree, he could've been sent back when the Eagles got their run on through the middle during the second quarter. His talent was wasted in that period, just cooling his jets at full forward. It demonstrated a puzzling inability for Bucks and co to read the flow of the game. |
