Really. WCE forwards had no trouble all night. We aren’t talented enough to get into a shoot out.
Moore had one goal when it mattered against Darling and Allen who had 7 or 8 by 3/4 time.
Don’t let Moore’s junk time goals trick you. When the game was on the line, Moore had just half a dozen possessions and 1 goal. |

I’m thinking that Kelly might be too good to be a defender.
I’d try Darcy Cameron down back in the mould of Liam Jones. He has the traits to be a very good defender but just needs a role that is simple where being creative isn’t a necessity.
Kicking goals is the best form of pressure. Always has been and always will be. Unless we become dangerous in attack we will only continue with results similar to the last 2 years.
Being dangerous requires us being BOLD. _________________ - Side By Side - |

With Moore we still only kicked 11 goals. It’s not as if we are suddenly kicking 20 goals a game. |

In fairness, the whole side would need a few weeks to gel with a new set-up. in addition, no forward line will do well with poor service delivery. The fact is, a 3 goal return on his first game at full forward is a pretty good return in my book. |

Yep, but how many more goals did we leak because Moore wasn’t down back? _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Numbers against him this year shows he is the worst key back in the AFL. Concedes more marks and possessions than any other defender.
He is a forward. Would have kicked 4 last night and can kick a bag with the right supply. |

Well put forward a better option than Moore up forward....and please do not say Cox. _________________ - Side By Side - |

Moore wasn’t on Dom Sheed, that’s for sure. Who was on him when he kicked three in a row? Oscar Allen after the game praised the WC midfield’s delivery forward and that is the story. |

Our midfield is the problem of why we don’t kick goal, as they say in the classics “shit in = shit out”.
We are also kidding ourselves if we can build a forward line having Cat B rookies in the key posts. As good as checkers has been he is better suited to being a link man between the arcs pushing forward, not the key target. Why don’t we consider someone who is naturally gifted. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

The way we bring the ball into forward line we could have Franklin, Cameron and Kennedy and we would still lose....
It’s the $$%^%%$ system not the players that’s the problem
Dumb players with the ball going forward, Maine daicos brown go backwards first
Sidebottom dinky 15m kicks, crisp Adam spraying it
Moore best position is chb, he will get murdered by our ball use in the fwd line
If we can control the ball better then combo of existing and a tight defence is better structure... |

Watching the VFL and the same issue is evident. Our zone defence prevents us from putting enough pressure on the opposition and consequently forced turnovers. An oppositions ability to run the ball from D50 to F50 without us even touching the ball is our biggest problem.
With that gameplan failure it’s no wonder they need to sure up the backline with the better players.
From my observations, man on man is today’s footy.
Cutting off the outlet players (by staying man on man) around the D50 arcs goes a long way to creating easier opportunities for goal whilst nullifying the oppositions forward thrusts.
Guarding space is all well and good but space has never kicked a goal in the history of football. _________________ - Side By Side - |

We can cover defense, our problem for a while has been we can't kick a winning score.
We can hold other teams to a low total but still lose.
Moore is better placed than Cox to capitalise on our shit delivery into the forward line.
If we could somehow figure out a way for Grundy to actually hit one of our midfielders with a tap out and then for one of our midfielders to hit a target inside 50, we may actually win some games. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Yes clearly the coaching g staff need to go ... um
As for the backline without Moore, it was also without Howe, and we were eithout de Goey our best player for 3/4 of the match and man did we get smashed, oh wait, no we didn’t!! The defence are still good but I would have move Magden back, Moore should stay forward, the season is $%$ed so why not? And we should try and get sponsorship from vodophone or something, stick it right up em!! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Collingwood need to move away from the mentality of using its best players as hole pluggers to constitute honourable losses. Moore can play forward and it’s time to try that. Was the west coast game the best time to try it? Given allen and darling had 5 goals each when Moore had had only 4 touches i |

Will Kelly played back yesterday in VFL which was a given with Cox in and Keane missing. From reports did very well. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |
