Fans will be contacted today and will have to isolate until negative result bays M1 and M16.
And they wonder why numbers are down? This is exactly the reason I have not attended a game this year! _________________ Cheers big ears |

Justifies the process though. I had check in 4 times at the G. Luckily not near the mentioned sections.. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

Same me too.
Who in their right mind attends the footy during a pandemic.
Must be stupid to do so!
And all those fans streaming out of the G & onto the pubic.
No masks, no social distancing.
Also, isn't that the are where the PA cheer squad sat? The Punt Rd end?
These sitting ducks may get infected & take it back over the border from whence it came...
Sucks to be them!
PS: Yes, yes I know I spelt public wrong I always call it pubic transport 'cause people are dicks! _________________ WE WERE ROBBED, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MEEE!

just excuses from you, you dont attend anymore anyway do you? you just come to be a cow when we lose.
and when there are no locally infected cases, the pandemic isnt here!
funny thing is, when they allocated us different seats we had less space around us than we did in our own seats this week! im next to the cheer squad and there was heaps of empty seats
got the text last night level 4 alert, get tested if sick,
im just hoping the lockdown comes after 6.30pm tomorrow when junior finishes work, ill have the motor running to get the **** out of here! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

i really $£$%^%%$ hate that idiotic moronic Karen excuse for humour or insult, grow the **** up and read to learn instead of reply,
I did not say there is no pandemic, i said at the time of the game with no local cases in melbourne the pandemic isnt here.
at the time no one knew there was an infected person in melbourne let alone at the game,
even so YOU DONT ATTEND ANYMORE!! not because of the pandemic but because your a $£$%^%%$ prickle arse bandwagoner! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Hi Jo, there are a lot of people who will not take risks by going to the footy or other big events like me. It is not because I am not scared of catching covid but more the point of having to isolate for 14 days. I have had to do this once already through no fault of my own and I can tell you this I will not take any risks that can be avoided and that includes footy and public transport and any big events.
There is still a pandemic in Australia and will be for quite a while, even if you don't think so. _________________ Cheers big ears |

I thought it would be a good game to take the kids, being a low crowd and all. My first game for a couple of years. Thought there would be plenty of room to space out.
However we sat on level 1 in an area where we were all made to slide along so there was no empty seats in our area. I was not so comfortable with this and asked to go to the upper deck so that we could socially distance, but was told it was closed.
If the virus spreads because the AFL made everyone sit on top of each other when we didn't need too, they will have a lot to answer for.
Also didn't help that most of the food service areas were closed and again forced everyone to congest to the one area. MCC will be to blame for that. |

It was interesting looking at the crowd in TP's photos. In some areas there seemed to be spacing between groups, in others they were jammed in like sardines. Strange mix of seating management That's reprehensible I reckon that few food service areas were open, to the extent that there was congestion.
Just as an aside, I wonder if patrons are informed at any stage or it's stated on their tickets that they are entering the ground "at their own risk." You would expect MCC would fully cover their arses?. |
