Classic line there guys:
"If we win the VFLW Premiership, another one, then we should have a succession plan to get that coach outta there"
Agree so much with your assessment of the Buckley era. We had one good year with him, and the rest was terrible. And it is not even clear to whom the massive improvement in 2018 should be attributed, since it occurred when Justin Longmuir arrived at our club, and ended when he departed. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Thanks, Magpietothemax.
Brayden Maynard openly accredited Justin Longmuir in a Jake Niall article dated September 2018.
I've also been speaking a lot to Richard Stremski (author of Kill for Collingwood) and he tells me Nick Maxwell was also a huge contributor to our improvement.
Nathan Buckley also stepped back a lot in 2018 and delegated much more. |

What's worse than a loss?
A loss to the old enemy: Carlton!
After a promising opening, Collingwood capitulated spectacularly.
Join Sly and Spook as they dissect the loss, re-examine the stagnating political landscape, and a preview of the upcoming game against Port Adelaide.

What a scintillating win!
A breathtaking performance that harkens back to Collingwood's glory days.
Join Sly and Spook as they relish the victory over West Coast, and preview the game against Hawthorn.
And, at 30.33, we interview David "Turtle" Hatley, and talk to him about why he walked away from the petition and a potential EGM, and also reveal Sly's and Spook's ongoing involvement and why they, too, changed their minds on the state of Collingwood moving forward!

Great episode. I've always thought that Lica and Murphy should stay on the board and the more I think about it the stability of keeping this board may be beneficial. |

Great podcast as usual
Really insightful listening to Turtle and how the petition has transpired over the last few months. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Thanks for the interview with David Hatley. He was open about his motivation, discussions with board members and the reasons he started and walked away from the EGM petition.
I could never vote for a new board unless their strategy for Collingwood had been publicly articulated. History is full of people tearing things down and burning the place to the ground followed by a replacement regime that was even worse. |

How many roads must a Collingwood travel before you can call them a Collingwood?
The answer, my friends, is certainly not blowing in yet another loss to Hawthorn!
Also, further exploration of Collingwood's political turmoil.
And a preview, of sorts, for our upcoming battle against Brisbane at [TO BE FILLED IN LATER].

I particularly enjoyed your coverage of the political situation.
Tumultuous it is not to my eyes or ears.
I'm not following the mainstream media.
Thank you. |
