From a points perspective it's good for us (465 out v 632 in before draft), just can't see why we need more picks. |

You may have inadvertently answered your own question Daz. Maybe we wanted to gain more points for use at the relevant time in the draft process. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. The club wants to have enough points to not only cover any early bid for Nick Daicos but also in case Youseph Dib is bid for. I heard the coach of Oakliegh Chargers on the radio this afternoon singing the praises of both Daicos & Dib. Interestingly he said Don has potential to be an AFL player but also said he has good personality and great character that will improve any football club he joins.
Hence why Collingwood is hoping to secure sufficient points in this years draft to cover both Daicos & Dibs, _________________ Collingwood Domination. Envy of the Nation! |

Yeah, I just thought we already had enough before this pick swap. But maybe not enough for Dib if he gets called early AND Daicos goes at 1. Which seems unlikely but I guess they’re taking a better safe than sorry approach
Or, there something else afoot _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

Word floating around that we are open to trading out our future first round pick on draft night and in fact more likely than unlikely to do so.
This would be dependent on us having to get back into 2022 2nd round (in order to be able to trade the future 1st) |

Would want to be a good deal considering our pick will be more than likely in the top 5. Could possibly be pick 1. You would think the deal would be done after a Nick Daicos bid on draft night if it were to happen. Be disappointed if we traded out future first. _________________ Utter B@stards |

What if it was for say Freos pick 6 or 8 ? They have two firsts a second and a heap of late picks this year but only a first and 5th next year. _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

Might be GWS again, I may be wrong but their 2nd selection requires points. |

Not sure what you mean by "requires points"?
GWS dont need mids though and wont get Darcy. But with Mumford retiring today Id think now they would be a certainty to select Mac. They might be open to trading out 13 for our future 1st.
Problem is the best key forward will be gone by then as will be the best intercept marking key defender.
Means it would give us a very good mid and thats about it.
Really think we need at least 6 or 8 - to land Jye Amiss or Josh Gibcus. _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

Makes sense and we could accomodate the Dogs with some points for Darcy and a future third rounder or two. If the swap did occur, then we wouldn’t see it happen until on the night and after the Daicos bid was matched. |
