Barry Mitchell, Tom's dad, played with the Sydney Swans (1984-1992), Carlton (1994-96), Collingwood (1993) and Carlton (1994-6). Consistently one of the top possession getters in the league every season. |

Except he wasn’t that good for us at the time and we paid a million for him for his 12 months. His son owes us 😉😉 _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Kind of a funny way to have a father-son represent the club. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Tom to his old man: “First day at the club and everyone’s giving me side-eye. Any idea why?” “Better sit down, son, I’ve got something to tell you about that million dollar inheritance…”
Gonna be weird seeing Barry sitting next to Peter on game day! |

But if he does provide the clearance specialist we’re so desperately lacking it’s a huge win.
Great trade period, lost no one that got us to a PF and added 4 players who can hopefully fill gaps. Worst case scenario and we’ve improved out depth. |
Yeh, hes a great pickup, add some grunt in the centre. IM pleased because we got a couple of big guys, tall timber, that can go forward and back, we will be a taller side now, we really missed Roughie when he retired, now we have fixed that missing link up. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

They can talk about the 4 games (for 4 wins) they played together. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |
