So, from the Grand Final:
In: Schultz, Noble, Dean, Johnson

Happy with the selected team.
Happy to see AJ get first opportunity to play alongside Checkers in the forward line.
With Pendles named, I am rapt to see John Noble selected. His lightning speed, along with Markov, will be hugely important in creating rebound off half back and a kaleidoscope of permutations as different players will interchange roles through half back and the wing.
I think Finn will be the sub. As sub, he creates more flexibility than anyone else, and if the game is tight, it would be important to get another fresh inside mid on the field in the last quarter. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Finn is not in the 23, so will not be the sub unless someone comes out of the 23 as named |

^ I know people really, really want him to be a top-class AFL footballer - but there's still nothing much to suggest that he has gone from being a poor man's Danny Stanley to being a poor man's Taylor Adams. |

True, but ultimately no evidence either way will ever be produced unless he gets some time on an AFL field.
I think that if Pendles is ultimately determined unfit to play (as is still possible) then McCrae will definitely be in the 23.
Finn has had an excellent preseason, so there is nothing much more he can do to get selected than that.
I am sure his time will come very soon in the season to show whether or not he is up to the required level. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Will take something special to break into this team while most are available and I don't think McCrae (really don't get the hype) has it. I think McInnes does and his time will come. Happy for Noble and well done to Dean! _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the sub selected from one of those listed on the extended interchange bench? If I'm right, then I suspect the sub will be either Markov or McCreery. |

The sub is one of those on the interchange list. Therefore it's likely to be McCreery or Markov. Poor Finn will need to bide his time. |

^From the listed 5 interchange you'd think Noble is the most likely Sub. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

^correct Rudey.
Final teams will be announced 60 minutes before the bounce when any late changes are confirmed, and the sub is confirmed.
Stui, reckon you'll be correct re Noble. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

the sub will be one of the 23 players named, being 'named' on the bench means nothing |

Here we go entering the season as the reigning premiers 😄 A very exciting position to be in but also knowing that we will be a target as a scalp for the also rans. We have a responsibility to show the others that we have improved and risen to a higher level of excellence. I pick us to win by 10 - 16 points. _________________ I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️ |
