VFL player Liam Jurrah, Aboriginal boy from Central Australia. Not on our list. _________________ "The greatest thing that could happen to the nation is when we get rid of all the media. Then we could live in peace and tranquillity, and no one would know anything." - Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen |

Great kid and a rare talent.
Could be the first full blood indigenous league footballer, but the question has to be raised, is football that important to Liam?
Home is were the heart is for a guy like Liam. He is not like us colonialist vagrants that are happy to squat on anyone elses land. Home actually means something more than bricks and mortor to Liam.
When the VFL side was competitive Liam's run and aerial sominance up forward was the key. All the forward line look more organised and the mids had a target to hit aside from Dawes, who is regularly double/triple teamed now.
I hope Liam follows his heart and does what is best for Liam. _________________ "MAKE COLLINGWOOD GRATE AGAIN"

Apart from the Tiwi Island kid currently at Melbourne....
It wouldn't surprise me that the reason he's gone home is due to a recent fatal road accident. _________________ Whale

His life-long best friend has a terminal illness and Liam has returned home to Yuendumu to be at his side.
While he loves football, his obligations to family and community are more important. I, along with many others, hope that he will return to Melbourne at some stage and ultimately be drafted by Collingwood, but more importantly we want him to be happy with whatever decision he makes. |
