FFS, can't they update the bloody pictures and put up the new CFC picture in a Collingwood Jumper. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the photos were taken about 2 weeks ago?
AFL Game Day also has him showing in a Lions Jumper instead of a collingwood jumper. Hello? the seasons started AFL nuffies! |
We had photos on here of him in a Pies jumper during trade week...what the hell is the website operators problem? |
Zak, seriously - what do you expect from inept Telstra Pigpond staff? _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

We've picked up a winner in Wood. |
I could hear those sighs through the TV, seriously! 45000 pies fans thinking as one. _________________ Hearing the 'Black & White Army' roar is the greatest sound in the world. |

I was impressed with him when I first watched him in the Port Adelaide practice match & even more impressed after his first game today. I think we've got a really good one there. He's in my dreamteam too. _________________ Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

Post subject: Wood grabs his chance
|
Quote: | Cameron Wood was a huge positive to emerge from Sunday’s 10-point loss to the Bulldogs at Telstra Dome.
The 21-year-old ruckman was playing his first game in the seniors since round eight, having spent recent weeks representing Collingwood’s VFL team.
With Josh Fraser out injured, Wood was recalled and finished the match with 10 possessions, 12 hitouts and two goals in an encouraging display Mick Malthouse described as “very good”.
Making his contribution even more significant was the fact the Magpies lost forwards Ben Reid and Anthony Rocca to injury during the game, so Wood and fellow ruckman Chris Bryan were forced to spend time rotating between the forward line and the ruck. |

Post subject: Cameron woods future?
|
Just wanted some thoughts on Cameron woods future.
Most here will say hes developing,But to me im kind of getting confused
He was beating by a ruckman today that you wouldnt rate at all,he really isnt getting ahead in a vfl level, hes had a couple of years with us,and was at brisbane.
He gets moved around easy by opponants,is second to the contest, and isnt winning much hitouts, and todays shots for goal doesnt do hes record any justice.
Im hoping he gets it right, but hes really not even dominating at a vfl level.
He was very disappointing today, and in a few other games.
Hasnt or isnt really learning much from jolly or fraser,or our ruck coach.
Im just after thoughts not people running me down,i tried my best not to de-fame woods in any way, just concerned as a supporter _________________ THEY JUST HATE US

That's a fair assessment.
Personally I believe his biggest problem is strength. He just hasn't got the grunt to go with the bigger or more experienced ruckmen yet. A few more pre seasons will tell the story because if he isn't highly competitive by then, then it would be fair to say he will struggle to make a significant impact on the competition.
People keep saying it and some will agree with it while others won't, but I believe that big (tall) players take longer to develop. _________________ A Collingwood supporter since the egg was inseminated. |
