Welcome to the club,Tom.It’s always good to have a Brownlow medallist join Collingwood, because we know the umpires would never vote for one of our home grown players to win that award.😉

Yeah Shane Woewodin worked well for us!

Barry Mitchell, Tom's dad, played with the Sydney Swans (1984-1992), Carlton (1994-96), Collingwood (1993) and Carlton (1994-6). Consistently one of the top possession getters in the league every season.

Except he wasn’t that good for us at the time and we paid a million for him for his 12 months. His son owes us 😉😉

Kind of a funny way to have a father-son represent the club.

Tom to his old man: “First day at the club and everyone’s giving me side-eye. Any idea why?” “Better sit down, son, I’ve got something to tell you about that million dollar inheritance…”

Gonna be weird seeing Barry sitting next to Peter on game day!

Good pickup, even if he did turn out to be another Woewodin we’ve given up nothing for him in reality.

But if he does provide the clearance specialist we’re so desperately lacking it’s a huge win.

Great trade period, lost no one that got us to a PF and added 4 players who can hopefully fill gaps. Worst case scenario and we’ve improved out depth.

Yeh, hes a great pickup, add some grunt in the centre. IM pleased because we got a couple of big guys, tall timber, that can go forward and back, we will be a taller side now, we really missed Roughie when he retired, now we have fixed that missing link up. Smile

Welcome Tom. The final piece of the 2023 premiership puzzle has fallen into place. Nothing can stop us now. Nothing!

They can talk about the 4 games (for 4 wins) they played together.
