A sad day , he's been an amazing worker for our club , frustrating at times but brillant at others I think many of us feel pretty mixed on this decision. Keep missing at the flea bags Clokey especially against us but thank you for 11 years as a Pie and a Premiership one as well.

He helped us win a flag, and will always be a Pies premiership player. Not so sure if hes the right fit for the dogs, with the frenetic pace game they play, and I cant see him suddenly kicking goals for them. He will get a few, but more often than not, more points and outa bounds of the full. Now, I really hope we hold out and get something good in the trade.

Think that's a bit of a stretch really in meaningful football terms. Whilst Trav might still play a few more seasons at the dogs, I couldn't compare him to Sav in almost any other area. Sav I think was loved by almost all, Trav seems to cop so much crap perhaps more than he deserves. You could say that Trav is being pushed just like MM pushed out Sav.

Sav is most certainly one of the greatest forwards to have played the game, Trav has been great at times but never came close to Sav over the journey (thus far).

Not sure the comment related to how well he was liked. If I recall when Sav left the Pies he was done, not in football terms, but in how he fitted into our side. In short - he didn't fit anymore. Of course he went to the Kangas, from memory looked early on like being a flop and then turned it all around to be a superstar for them too.

I can see the parallel. No way is Trav being pushed out. He chose to ask for a trade. Of course we don't know what's been said behind closed doors. Was he told his opportunities would be limited? Was he told he had to change his game style? Who knows. All we know is he wasn't happy with how he was treated this year and he wants to bail to try and enjoy the last couple of years of his career. Good luck to him.

I'm a fence sitter on this one. His form was very very average for about 18 months before he got dumped this year. I think a really strong pointer to the value of a player is whether you have that "oh no" moment when you realise that player won't be playing a certain week (or in this case ever again).... I personally don't have that. I know many have arguments about his value to our structure.... just don't see it as that big a deal anymore. He's just another piece of the puzzle.... and while we don't have another Trav we've got plenty of others willing to step up and play a slightly different role in the interests of team success.

Ho hum.... next.

Not sure how my comment related to how well he was liked too? Was just trying to draw comparisons, of which none were initially referred to. I reckon if you ask a few people (not myself as such) you might get some answers that he his being pushed, Darcy is Numero Uno.

Sav was played out of position in my opinion which probably led to his demise at the Pies, FF and that should have been it. Another argument anyway.

What conclusion would you draw out of the fact that he asked to leave? Like you say who knows, who really knows? He was out of favour for whatever reason. That's not a sign of love, that's the cold shoulder.

With you on this one Thomsoc. United we stand together.

It has to be a bloody joke. If Collingwood don't get a first rounder, 2 second rounders or a gun player for Cloke, we are being Royally screwed.

Collingwood have refused to pay any of his contract, and it seems he will waive the final year of the contract or at least apply to try and do that.

He wants to leave, Collingwood don't want to trade him, so he has to find his own way of getting the contract thing sorted.

It's no joke.

Cloke is not pining for the old days when MM was coach. He is not stunned at not being able to do what he used to do.

His top level AFL career is over. It is no more. It has ceased to be. It is bereft of life. It rests in peace. He is an ex power forward.

I expect in any deal we won't even be offered as much as the steak knives. I respect what he has done for the club but he is done, dusted, not up to it anymore.

I was worried for a while that there would be no interest in him from other clubs. We are lucky if another club takes him to free up salary cap space for us.

I tend to agree with Robert Walls we take whatever we get from them. I think we are happy we are going to have his 2017 salary off our books. Be lucky to get a pick in the 30's, the guy has been dropped 3 times this year.
