The Toby Greene saga
Moderator: bbmods
Can you imagine if a Collingwood player did that? Twice in a row? It's just absolutely unbelievable how much support the thug is getting.
Anyway, I'm sure our boys have a "not our problem" attitude about it. Let's smash the smarmy bastards! I just hope it doesn't galvanise them and fire them up. Everyone, from the AFL to other supporters, will be going for the Giants because everyone, from the AFL to other supporters, hates our great club!

I don't care about T Greene. Anything that may help us is welcome. The more unjust the better. Having said that, T Greene's real crime was making a complete fool of Kim-Jong Gil and his Brunton Ave Politburo. He was always going to get rogered after being given a free pass last week, then crapping on the Supreme Leader's apparatchiks. I suspect that if you read the charge sheet carefully, there will be a line item regarding an insufficiently enthusiastic following of Juche Principles.

Bloody oath! They'd have been given 3-4 the first time, to ensure they miss the prelim, the GF, and the first round of 2020 to stuff up our next season.ANNODAM wrote:^ Easy 3-4wks if it was us!
I just think back to what Trav Cloke was suspended for. Anthony Rocca. Missed grand finals for sweet FA really in the grand scheme of things. Corey McKernan was robbed a brownlow because he was suspended for 1 week for an innocuous trip. Tripping! So for TG to get 1 week for eye-gouging two weeks in a row, he's getting off bloody lightly if you ask me.

b) The regime of Gil resembles far more that of Donald Trump's than it does that of Kim Jong. Trump is based on real estate speculation, profits from casinos, profits from gambling...need I go on.

Just went on our website and found that there was absolutely no mention whatsoever of the Green hearing or the impending appeal from GWS. Fantastic. We are saying to the world: we don't rate the absence/presence of Green as an issue.
On the GWS website however, there is an article reporting that GWS intends to appeal the ruling.
For them, Greene playing or not is clearly a major issue.

The good thing is that the Giants looked at their best when they took the Bulldogs by surprise with their ferocity. They can't do that now. We are expecting that from them and we are ready to match it, plus some. We laid 97 tackles against the Cats, and if we do similar this week we will smash the Giants.
Look at how much better we are now with Moore and Roughead in defence. Pies by 48 points.

Caught red handed, fu cowardly bully in fact all the cowardly bullies.
We've lost a lot more of our best players good to see footy gods evening it up a bit and otehr teams can't handle it nearly as well. this is probably the nail in the coffin of GWS year - probably would have lost anyway but a lot less chance now.
IT's also going to put hesitation in their new bully-boy game style which may be even more of a factor than just losing one of their top 3 or 4 players and bog last game.
Treat that with a little caution: the website also carries an article about players pushing for selection this weekend. It refers to Ben Reid last playing in our win against North Melbourne. Watching the game at the time, it didn’t feel much like a win. I guess that must just have been me getting caught up in the frustration of the team kicking a winning score of only 5.7.Magpietothemax wrote:Just went on our website and found that there was absolutely no mention whatsoever of the Green hearing or the impending appeal from GWS.
