The other says we dodged a bullet as Richmond were coming back they too missed their chances. We didn't have it in our forward 50 at all in that second half. Richmond had heaps of forward 50 but kicked behinds. Well done to jermery Howe kept us in it when the tigers were coming back. I always knew the tigers were going to come back. Collingwood were always felt wanting that settling goal. Memo JDG please take your time and youll start to kick goals.Umps were terrible all night and gifted Richmond 2 easy goals. Richmond can be matched for pace and match ups were good too. We missed Stevo last night and again target up forward was lacking. Draws are hard one to get a real feel on reflection of the game. The game was a game of 2 halfs.
Next match ill omit Thomas and WHE and bring back Stevo and Cox
It was one of Crisps and Maynards more quite nights along with Elliott and Moore.
Brown brothers and Diacos did a fine job early on.
Next match v saints. Pies to win by a resounding 30 points.
WHE overall has been a disappointing pickup from the Giants. I saw his potential at the Giants when he was first developing as a young draftee, but he seems to have peaked early. Simply doesn't do enough to justify a regular 22 spot.

Got the players up forward but not the system Phillip isn’t a forward he’s a mid fielder and we lack any length in our kicks none of them can kick long and able to penetrate going into the forward line either. Richmond had deep entry Collingwood had shallow entry too. I do think most of the players are under done and not quite there fitness wise.

If our high picks weren’t busts (or in last night’s case, simply selected), we’d probably have a flag or two, and would most definitely have won last night

Scharenberg
Freeman (then Aish)
Stephenson

JDG the only one out there last night. Just 1/5 top 5-10 picks after 5+ years played last night. Horrific.

Update that Grundy has had scans this afternoon on a side strain he got last night this is the only injury from last night. I hope its just a routine procedure and he gets the all clear. Clearly struggled last night when he came off should not have came back on as Cameron was doing a good job in ruck anyway.

Moore was a top ten draft pick, wasn’t he?I take your point on the other ones though. It has hurt us a lot with so many of those picks being busts.Stephenson should have played last night as well.

Pies v tigers.

Fair dinkum peeps... It was ONE GAME...So much acrimony and negativity.
Personally I was very anxious wondering if there would be a thrashing tonight after such a long break, so I didn't mind the fact that it was a strongly contested game, albeit I think we should have won. Yes there were mistakes from everyone including that goal review.
You realise 3 of Richmonds 5 goals were from free kicks..

Very strange night. What dissapoints me is the lack of goalkicking acciracy from set shots. We need to capitalise on our chances.

Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

But we didn’t lose so that’s a bonus

Upside
No injuries
Didn’t lose
T Brown will be better again for the run
I believe we have there measure
Cameron went ok
That was Langdon’s best game ever for the club

Bring on next week
Despite being beside myself with anger and frustration watching last night, I thought of you when Howe and Maynard fell over in succession to cough up a goal in the second quarter. In particular, I wondered how you would cope with not being able to blame The Future Captain for that one.
While I was watching the game and seeing our defence repel attacking raid after attacking raid I thought “how will PS4 twist this to find a way to highlight Langdon’s absence”
I think the future is bright for tommy
Let’s look at the possibilities
He can take up knitting he doesn’t need knees for that
He could become a advocate for the rights of physically disabled people he’s qualified for that
He could get a job at Macca’s leading a team of fry cooks
He could be the poster boy for not taking Valium during sporting contests

Let’s hope the future medically retired/delisted tommy finds a career more suited for his skill set

Forgot Moore. Noted. His absence in 2018 cost us a flag too

In hindsight, great effort from Pies, although I did throw the odd tantrum....

Boys against men scenario in many contests:
* Brown Boys - twigs with hair
* Noble - looks like should be in my sons U14 squad
* Cameron - don't think Coxzilla should be worried yet

On Cox, we really missed him was in the second half. This is a game where his big leads down the wing either result in mark or at least drag 2-3 defenders away and open up the attacking side of the ground.

You know he was injured with bone bruising, right?

Why there are so many injuries at Collingwood is another question.
