Look, without being a backseat Mod, my understanding was the yellow and red card system was there for a reason. Posters would get a couple of warnings (yellows) before being banned (red) all of which was transparent and visible to others.

shadow banning people in the background strikes me as similar to how people disappear in China when they persist in doing stuff the authorities don't like. No trial, no transparency, just disappear.

He may come back if he has that option, he may not. That's up to him I suppose, my understanding is he believes he's been banned permanently.

Can’t see what he could possibly say to shut him out with no warnings.

I read so much worse here than what I apparently got a yellow for. buggered if I know where the line is.

If you don’t see how those two things are different, then it sounds like we’re arguing over semantics.

We didn't ban him, we banned him. The difference is clear.

Gees another comment I i made gets it’s own thread!

Well I’m $@&^# if I can figure out the rules right now.

Just imagine if all the damn sarcasm and abuse stopped, just imagine if you could actually defend yourself, maybe the conversation might be more pleasant and people wouldn’t choose to leave or mysteriously disappear,

It actually is possible to give your opinion without belittling those with a different opinion.

Nobody chooses to "mysteriously disappear", TP. They don’t call us the "sinister bastards" for nothing! :P
