There have been times I doubted him, but he was unquestionably one of our best on Saturday.

A super game on the big stage. How good is his disposal at speed and goal kicking on the move? Great athleticism, gut running and balance.

Weren't we ridiculed for trading Treloar for a pick in the teens? (Turned out to be Oli Henry). Funny how not many talk about Lipinski coming in, and for such a late pick too.

This is precisely why I hate when many say can’t get a game at his current club etc….

Pat didn’t set the world on fire at the Doggies but will play his 24th game of the season the exact same he played over his last 2 seasons at the dogs. Remember a bloke called Jack Crisp who was a no name at Brisbane or Darcy Cameron who had played 1 game at Sydney.

I hear many talking the same about Frampton from Adelaide.

I reckon its the coach that got Pat firing, have a look at big footy, the dogs cant wait to get rid of their coach!

he better than treloar any day, twice on saturdays

Been a good year for Lippa. Hasn't missed a game this year.

Very happy we brought him over to the club at the end of last year.

Barring injury, Lippa's on track to play his 100th league game in 2023. Performance wise, were do we see him moving to in 2023? Has he reached his ceiling?
Along with his emergence as a link player, I view him as one of, if not our most important in this role.
With Mitchell coming into the balance the midfield, will this be a catalyst for Lippa to elevate his outside run to reach another level?

2022 playing statistics
23 goal assits for season 2022, ranking him at 6th in the Comp.
Laid 79 tackles for an average of 3.52 per game.
Gatherered 8.09 Contested Possesions and 13.91 Uncontested Possessions per game.
An important stat is the 3.22 Inside 50's per game, highlighting his effectiveness as a link player to deliver the ball inside F50. That's on par with Josh Daicos.
When it comes to disposal efficency, at 70.07% he's ahead of JDG & Sidey and knocking on the door of Nick Daicos at 71.35%.

Good observation on an underrated player.
A very reliable player who does most things well. Been a very good pick up for what he cost us. From all accounts, a ripping club man and he will take on more responsibility as the likes of Pendles and Sidey move closer to the end.
You can always find a spot for a good player and his versatility between the arcs is another one of his strengths. I have him as a high half forward who will spend stints on ball when the starting midfielders need a break.
Potentially replaces Sidey on the wing when he retires in a year or two.

After what just happened to Max King's shoulder in an innocuous incident against May, I'd ask Lippy to keep the physical contact to a minimum; he is a mover, not a shaker...

Lippa did some good things in the possession chains during the game, and some naughty things in 2nd half, to turn the pill over resulting in 2 goals.

Anyhoo, we got away with it - thanks Footscray!

I was critical of his PF performance, and thought he might have been dropped for the GF had Adams been fit.

Lippa did well in the Grand Final after being substituted early on courtesy of Murphy's concussion.

I suspect Lippa struggled with confidence in his body, following his shoulder surgery early in the year. After a super 2022 year he had a pretty average 2023 season and was close to being dropped after a rather insipid Prelim performance. However, he had a positive impact when subbed on early in the Grannie. Hopefully, next year he'll rediscover his 2022 form and help us be a better team.
