I don’t think people who have never played football (or sport) understand the mental aspect of this stuff.

Mentally, humans will not risk their body to risk missing a final. It’s real. The team is up by 10+ goals. No one is risking concussion, suspension, or injury in what is now the deadest of all dead rubbers.

We don’t have a Curnow to kick a big bag, so deal with it.

Loved what Hodge said re Ginni, after the high tackle by Redman on him.
A flagrantly high tackle that the umpires had no choice but to give the free to Ginni. Hodge then commented:
" It's the 50-50 decisions he doesn't get that others would".
Hodge is no lover of the Pies. But I believe he is fair, and this comment will be noted.

No it wouldn’t. Been 50% effort since half time.
