Bit early for my thoughts on this game
But it’s good time that we actually won our first game at the mcg this year
See how training goes for my ins and outs
At this stage I’ll tip a 14 point win to Collingwood
But port will be good but pies to win it at the end

A very, very big match indeed, THIS match will tell us in no uncertain terms, just WHERE we are at, as a Club, right now, if we can back the huge win over Brisvegas, with a victory here, against a very talented finalist, we will just bout be back in business, and contention , at 3-3. Bring it on.!

Just a reminder for those who don’t regularly visit the VFL forum, the VFL match between Pies and Blues will be televised on channel 7, starting 2.00pm on Sunday 14th. Obviously a good chance to still get a Collingwood fix during the bye round. As always, I’m sure D B will be all over it in the VFL forum.

Got a feeling this match is the summing us right up in the here and now.

First 2 matches a write off then inching back in the third.
Little turn around 4th match and a win that we should have won by more.
Yep this is the one that will sum it all up.
Kind of could set us up for the next 6-7 weeks this one.

The form line for this one is in favour of Port.
Logic says that they should be able to conquer the Pies even at The 'G.
The head says that we probably won't triumph.
And yet, I think that we can get up for this match and have a win.
If we get to 3-3, the season is very much alive and well.
I think that several players (Cox, Moore, Crisp, Hill, Mihocek & Sidebottom) will find a gear and we will enjoy victory.

* Richards: time to blood one
* Harrison: reward form
* Sullivan: time to freshen the midfield

Outs:
* Cox: omit for the worst Ruck effort since Michael Horsburgh in 1981
* Pendles: injured plus time to freshen up
* WHE: need to move past

Bit of a recency bias on their midfield. Where were they in the last 8 rounds of last year (when they lost 7 games?).
Now they are no spuds, and they will be better in 2 more years than they are today, but the hype is a bit overblown IMO. How about the Bombers actually send someone to Rozee? Nick Daicos would look exactly the same if he was left to roam around at will.
Will be a tough game I think - hopefully we can find a bit more improvement and capitalise on being at our home ground.
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...
