Collingwood forward Josh Carmichael has announced his retirement due to ongoing concussion issues, per Sam Edmund. Teammates were told this morning.

All the best Josh. Had a couple clutch moments in that amazing 2022 season. Kicked 2 in the fourth quarter of the come from behind miracle against the Bombers in Rd 19.

Sad, but inevitable unfortunately.

Feel like a bit of a karma bus post Brayshaw. We’ve lost two players and the only players in the league.

Sorry to hear it, at least he got to play some games at the highest level.

Hope his health is good enough for him to enjoy a long life outside of AFL.
