Congratulations again to Nick Daicos on his second Gavin Brown Medal! I’ll have to check, but I’m pretty sure his 86 votes is the highest tally any player has ever received in this.

Can confirm this now, by the way! Here are the best results in the history of the medal:

If we were to adjust tallies from the 3-2-1 by percentage of vote share, Dane Swan's 32 votes in 2010 would probably come in second (roughly equivalent to 80 votes in a 5-4-3-2-1 format). What makes Daicos's total this year even more remarkable is that he did it in a year in which we didn't play finals; Swan, Grundy and Beams played in seasons where we played 26, 26 and 25 matches respectively.
