Where would Collingwood play then?
MCG
No, because the MCG is Collingwood's home ground.

Last year, Frankston got a home final and they finished 8th, and in previous years, Tasmania got a home final against a team that finished higher than they did.

I think home ground advantage means little in the VFL, only a drive down the road for supporters.

The VFL believed that playing it at Bellerive would have gotten a bigger crowd, at least so I heard that was the reason.

More to the point, why SHOULD a team get a home ground advantage?

The system isnt fair, it should either be all home ground or no home ground advantage, there shouldnt be 2 games at neutral venues and 2 teams with the advantage, besides the top team should be on TV

It has got very boring on here. No real news, no input from supporters. Nothing complimentary towards players. Whats going on. It's finals time. Isn't this what its all about, getting behind the players & the club?

You've only just noticed, joe?

The Williamstown faithful still visit occasionally, but post very rarely as they (we) have been pushed aside by the hangers-on who don't really give a rat's about any of the players who are NOT on the Collingwood list.

Basically, this forum has become the 'Collingwood listed players who play in the VFL' forum. Williamstown just doesn't enter in to it these days. In fact, it is very rare that a Williamstown player even gets a mention in this forum these days.

Don't forget, though, it's a Collingwood fansite. If it was just about the club Williamstown (which, in my books, ceased to be a genuine entity about 8 years ago), the Williamstown forum probably wouldn't even exist.

Isn't it an appropriate advantage given for higher ladder finish? Surely a team that finishes 5th has earnt some kind of advantage over the team that finishes 8th.

Who will be looking for a call-up next week? I'd reckon Cox, Lonie, Dick, Licca and Holland would all be looking to have a blinder today. Of those, Licuria and Cox are the only players I can really see being brought back into the side.
