Love seeing McCarthy and Dyas in the best. Wellingham's inclusion in our midfield for me shows how much we need class and pace in their to compete against the likes of the Hawks and Cats (when they are at the top of their game). McCarthy and Dyas are the two I'm most excited about of our VFL crop, along with Anthony, given Dawes hasn't stepped up like I hoped he would.

McCarthy might be ahead of Stanley come seasons end. Hopefully he turns out to be the player we hoped Stanley would be, that in and under that we crave.
Daicos, this is when he's at his best, the MAAASSSTTTTTEEERRR!!!

Hi Guys and Girls.

My apologies for the Saturday VFL Broadcast stuff-up on the weekend.

To explain what happens and how this disaster came about for us...

Because we can't afford the $14,000 for Delay Free CODECS for a link between (Paging Eddie McGuire and his Cheque Book!) the grounds and our studio we broadcast via Wireless broadband over the internet to our studio which puts us on a 40-60 second delay.

Between 1pm and 2pm we couldn't get a connection to our studio. We found out that the streaming company we use hadn't updated their account with who they buy network time off of!!!!

After we got around that problem everything for the first quarter seemed to go OK. Then near the Quarter Time Break disaster struck.

For some reason Windows Vista on our tech's laptop didn't like taking the USB Audio feed and resfused to work (or pump out audio) thus we were stuffed (putting it nicely).

Strange thing is the Tech tested it today and it works!!!!

Again all I can offer is apologies on behalf of 1611 AM - we are an amateur station, but we'd like to think we can try and bring you some kind of semi-professional broadcast.

I hope it doesn't put you off listening to any future VFL Broadcasts and remind you we are only one of 3 station that bring you VFL - 97.7 FM Casey Radio and 3WBC 94.1 FM also bring you some quality VFL Broadcasts.

If you want to know what station is broadcasting your team, then please visit the VFL website at www.victorianfootballleague.com.au and click on the broadcast schedule page.

Once again apologies about our technical errors over the last few weeks.

Peter Holden

Yep, that'll do it to you every time!

BTW, if you want Eddie's help, you'll have to change the name to Magpie Radio and cover every Collingwood VFL game before he'll even think about it.
