Gone a bit early here, he could still be bidded on early-ish I can't see us matching a bid in the 50's. Welcome hime once we land him

Pretty sure we will match a bid in the 50s.

On past history, I've we've nominated him we'll likely match a reasonable bid. If we thought he'd slip low, or didn't rate him, we wouldn't have nominated him.

Let's see what is considered early. Will his old man have North bidding on him again?

Pick 38 too early? he's a pretty speculative prospect. Whippet thin but has a bit more height than his brother at 6.2 in the old.

Who knows in this draft. It could be all over the place from around pick 2 onwards.
The best we can all hope for is that the bid comes in after 38, then at least we get another targeted player before we then knowingly add Brown to the list.

His " body of work " is interesting. He showed very little until around his last half dozen games when he really blossomed. It just depends how clubs choose to guage the small sample size of his last few performances.

I reckon Hine was (not so) subtly trying to dissuade other clubs from picking Tyler.

To be honest, I'm more pissed off that Ron Richards grandson looks like going to Carlton.

With his mop of hair he actually plays a bit like his great uncle apart from being a left footer, while I think Lou was a right footer. I would be happier recruiting Ed Richards than Tyler Brown. Wait and see I guess but there's no way in the world we will part with pick 38 to secure Tyler.

You'd reckon Richards is more likely than your average draftee to look to get to the club he supported given the rich family history.

Going to the scum probably only increases our chances.

Let someone else do the early development then we'll swoop in in coming seasons.

Assuming Carlton go for Dow in the first round why would they go for Ed Richards in the second round? Doesn't make any sense to me. Hopefully they bypass him.

Would have preferred him at pick 65 than pick 51 but that's life I guess.
