Gee whiz, the Spurs fans must be beside themselves.
If they beat the Gunners away next week in the North London derby, the lid will be firmly blown. It's going to be great viewing.

^ It's been a good start for Ange.

Hate to say it as a Chelsea fan.

Just posted this in the grand final week thread:
pietillidie wrote:Nice work, Dark Beanie. Damn, wish I was over there for the week. One of the great occasions on the calendar with great weather to boot.

Got my own day planned here: the granny from 5:30 am, before heading to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Tottenham versus Liverpool at 5:30pm. If both the Pies and Spurs lose that's going to be one ugly drive back up the M4, which is already ugly enough, passing through Slough of The Office fame: https://youtu.be/1mlevv9oFuA
If the Pies win, I'll be on cloud nine, so whatever happens at Tottenham won't matter very much.

If the Pies lose, the Spurs had better win to give us at least some joy. If they both lose, that will be the ultimate misery day package!

The Tottenham Hotspur stadium is a magnificent experience. Nothing beats a full MCG, but this is a lot newer and more compact, and just as rocking. This will be the biggest Premier League game I'll have ever been to, and I'll get a close look at players like Mo Salah and hopefully TAA if he gets up from the opposition, so I can't wait.

On the game itself, Liverpool are hitting form and Tottenham are playing well, but still finding their feet and due for a tough one after a great draw at Arsenal. I can't say I'm super confident as the Spurs need more time to practice playing out from the back without turning the ball over in dangerous areas, although Liverpool do play a high line, which Sonny loves.

It turns out we couldn't have picked a better team to support though, with Sonny now captain, connecting to the South Korean side of our life, and Big Ange now coach (and Jedinak an assistant), connecting to the Aussie side of our life. Amazing how it worked out.

COYS!
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Must be on cloud nine with us winning the flag and Spurs winning?

You're not wrong. I was already on a massive high after the Pies winning, then listened to post-granny Aussie talkback driving to Tottenham, which was better than expected because the neutrals just loved the game and week, and everyone now has a begrudging respect for the Pies.

Then the win at Tottenham. The club is rocking at the moment, and as mentioned the stadium is top class, so sitting with die hards who knew the lyrics to every song was great fun. Sonny's goal was in our corner, too, and the post-match singing and dancing was wild. Floated back home on the motorway, completely knackered, but what a day!

Did you make it to any of the granny events or hold any yourself? Sounds like the whole week in Melbourne was a blast.
