Mike Wilson, of Lilydale, and his son Nick, 16, will be guests of Collingwood president Eddie McGuire at Saturday’s blockbuster against ladder-leader Essendon.

Collingwood is the only team Mr Wilson has supported. He became a diehard Magpie in 1958, ensuring that Nick “didn’t have a chance” to support any other team.

The Web page designer said that when Nick was 11, he learned about Web pages and established his Collingwood page.

“It’s been a forum for debate about anything to do with Collingwood ever since,” a proud Mr Wilson said.

“Nick’s page made the semi-finals of an Australian Web page competition a couple of years ago.

“And in a player profile on Nathan Buckley, Nathan names Nick’s Collingwood page as his favourite Web site.”

Mr Wilson said that an e-mail from McGuire invited the pair to a home game of their choice.

“I fully expect Collingwood to win, but then I always do, which often leaves me disappointed,” Mr Wilson said.
